Air Date

Any ideas when this will be shown?

reply

Amazon are advertising the DVD for a release date of October 26th 2015. So it must be due on TV just before then.

reply

Articles are saying Sept 6th against Downton Abbey. It airs on BBC One.
Not sure if and when it will air in the US.

reply

Fingers crossed PBS picks it up in the U.S.

reply

I am hoping for PBS or BBC America. *fingers crossed*

I am still waiting to see The Scandalous Lady W, as well.

reply

At this point I'm doubting PBS will pick it up - they didn't touch the 1993 version either, it got dumped straight to dvd here. PBS/Masterpiece don't seem to be very big on one-off TV movies anymore, though the old Masterpiece Theatre used to show them all the time...plus, the potential explicitness factor is an issue too. BBC America is a slightly better bet, but IMO the most likely situation will be that Acorn TV will release it on dvd and air it on their streaming service.

The UK dvd will be released the day after it airs there, on Sept. 7. I've got a region-free dvd player, and I've pre-ordered.

Scandalous Lady W was very good. I had never heard of her but she was very interesting.

reply

I think it's too much for PBS--they tend to be stuffy about this story or anything involving sex. You will be able to find it online for free though. Just have to do some Googling after the air date and install Adblock on Google Chrome.

Also, you might be able to watch it through BBC I player..the day after it airs. I am going try this with the Scandalous Lady W this week.

For those that live in the UK: the DVD of Lady Chatterley will be released on Sept 7th.

reply

Don't bother...it's *beep* and they don't show ANYTHING!

reply

I didn't realise that it's a one off
drama that is an hour and a half. No real
flesh on show, the Sean Bean version is
probably better as it has more time for the
story.James Norton looked lush.

reply

I enjoyed it. Very fine acting - especially by Norton and Grainger.

Best version I've watched.

You're my wife now.
