1980's Calgary, oh yeah!

I'm about 8 years younger than Bruce McCullah, and additionally I don't think I ever was or will be as cool as he is. Yes my bar is that low.

I find it entertaining to the bits of the Calgary from my tween / teen years though. The old Calgary cop cars and uniforms are a blast. His Mom and sister wearing the stampede red and white.

The show that had them watching the exercise program was based on a show called '20 minute' workout. I loved that show and remember watching it with a friend once. It was pretty much like they portray on the show.

I wonder how long it's going to be before they have an episode with Stampede Wrestling! I was never a big fan myself, but had friends who watched it every weekend. If you know anything about it then you'll know there is some good comedy value in that.

What part of Calgary did Bruce grow up in? I've been trying to figure it out based on the material in the show. There is no second season listed here. The CBC posted some things about the characters as of Sept 23, 2015 so I'm going to believe we'll see another season.

I think CBC is just replaying Season 1. Seems Bruce posted something about it. But sure hope we get a season 2!

Sadly you're right. They're just putting Season 1 back on the air.

I'm not sure if that means they won't have a season 2 or how that is going. Maybe it's going to depend on the ratings it gets the second time around.

He grew up in Braeside.

hence the name "braevista" where they live ;)

It it filmed in the apartment complex just behind the braeside Mall on Southland Drive. They have taken a few creative liberties ( that location doesnt have a big open courtyard, that is at another location, but the location they use still has the "80's look" to them.

They said they had filmed at Tom's house of Pizza, but never did see the location in season 1
