It is the candian punk version of the goldbergs!. I love it, and so will you if you like 80's comedies

I think that's the main reason why I thought I'd give this show a try.

I'm SO glad I did! 

An added bonus is that it is Canadian. Nothing wrong with that, eh? 

Goldbergs is the only sitcom that. I watch. I am so fed up with TV I have been watching mostly streaming shows, many Canadian.
Going to see if I can find this. I watch TPB, Corner Gas and even Murdoch Mysteries. Kid's in the Hall is by far greatest Canadian comedy of all time. Red Green another classic.
I love USA, but TV I'd driving me North.
