Did it seem to anyone else

that this movie STARTED as though it was the middle? Now granted, I AM watching the movie in "delay" but it started from the beginning. The movie started like it had been on for an hour already. Like this "boy" LOOKS like a "boy" why would this grown woman find him so irresistable that THE FIRST time he's at her house she gets naked and screws him in the shower......did I miss something? Did the older woman girlfriend have an ax to grind w/the boy's mother or something?

Just add it to the list of questions. I thought the movie was overall a little inconsistent. My review on this movie is "Don't Blame The Actors".

I don't think she had a particular grudge against the mother until she became obsessed with the son. Then she saw the mother as a threat to her relationship.

Why did she become so attached to the high school student? Because she was lonely, desperate and deeply disturbed.

The movie did jump around a bit. For a melodramatic thriller TV movie, it was OK. It has its flaws and it's not groundbreaking or anything, but it sort of worked as standard TV (Lifetime) entertainment.

OK then, guess I'll have to go w/this because movie is nearing the end and I'm still sitting here like WHY? Usually in the formulaic LMN movies a motive is revealed usually having something to do w/the insane perpetrator having been wronged somehow in the past by the victim (victim's familY) or suffering from mommy/daddy issues. None of that was revealed here.

Also, why didn't the teenage girl tell what happened to her in the car? And why was the mother's boyfriend at the crazy lady's house at the end to save them?

reply

I expected Melanie- the teen girl- to go to the police as well but teens are usually not logical with these things and can be too afraid to take action. They're not mature enough to make those decisions.

The mom was at clarissa's house bc clarissa texted her from Mark's phone saying to come pick him up bc clarissa wanted to threaten her with the gun.

I, too, was bothered the entire rest of the movie by the girl apparently not reporting to anyone that she had been attacked and slashed in the face with a knife by a stranger in her car!!! It apparently was so bad that she had to hide her face with her hair afterwards. What did her parents think?? That was just so unbelievable. and at the end she looked fine--as if nothing had happened to her, and it was just a short time later. Argh.

I don't buy that teenagers are just afraid to say anything--this was her face.

I'm with you 101%! Sure - the cougar was attractive, but for the life of me I can't imagine what in the world she saw in the geeky-looking high-schooler!

I thought Mark was a real cutie. He will get a lot of roles very easily, very cute.

I completely agree with the OP! I thought the exact same thing. I thought they'd spend at least a half hour of the movie of the two getting to know each other. Maybe a few days in the movie of sexting, calling, etc. Nope. It jumped right to the chase. That was pretty unrealistic.

I think the cougar looked like a washed out relic from the 90s

reply

I really didn't get that either.
