Thoughts at the second episode

Loving Westside, so far! Works as both a period piece, and a fun prequel. The former is practically a given with that house (it's always screamed "key party" to me) and the latter is down to a production that is filled with love for the parent show.

Antonia Prebble is great, as ever. I always liked the glimpses of Rita that we got on OF and I'm glad to see that pay off. David dLt is fun and a lot more likable once he dropped the cartoon laugh. The big standout for me, though, was Esther Stephens. When she made her first appearance, I actually got chills. "Nailed it, utterly" seems such faint praise in this instance.

The action is ramping up, as well. No surprise when you mix a heist with your new Croat neighbors. Fun to see Rita calmly win the day but I did have to feel a bit sorry for little Wolfie. Getting cockblocked by your Mom is never any fun. Still, I am on board and wanting more. I was so stoked by the end of the second episode that it made me a little sad there were so few left.

I am thrilled to have any, though, so I'll take what I can get. And for the record, I think that the last word in the first series is going to be "Sluttypants".

It's great that "The House" is now part of the show. I liked the robbery, tying the guards inside the hut and the Doslics in the mix. Shame about the bedroom scene when Pat was naked Rita had her clothes on!?
Another nice episode.
I wish the weak theme tune had instead been something that had matched the genius of Gutter Black for Outrageous Fortune.

Seeing the Doslics was great! And I do agree about the bedroom scene. Antonia, as I predicted, was super hot again as Rita. But it was good to see all those nods to OF.

Yes, Gutter Black is amazing and worked so well for OF but I have to say that Watch Your Back has been growing on me. I actually made a Hello Sailor station on Pandora and it's really good right out of the box. Plays a bunch of jam band stuff, too. That's one of the things I am grateful to Rachel Lang for, turning me onto a bunch of kick ass Kiwi music.

Episode 3 even more fun!!

Rita clearly wearing the pants in the family....love the scene where Ted is saying one thing and we see what really happened.

Falani's intro...utterly hilarious. They cast him so well

I have a feeling I'm going to have to binge watch OF when this is done LOLOL

I thought that Ted should have given a bit more stern of a lecture to Wolfie about discussing family business. Have these people never seen the Godfather? It was out for at least two years by then.
