Yep it was interesting but didn't cover everything I thought it would. There was a 30-minute show called Forensic Files that did an episode on the List murders that seemed to actually be more thorough. They explained how forensic artists were able to age progress 17 years forward to see what List might then look like and how they went on Unsolved Mysteries with the images and how this led to his capture.
Regardless, any way this story is told, it is truly tragic and such a waste of life :(

Correction, America's Most Wanted, not Unsolved Mysteries, oops!

I agree, Tornado. This show is not about accuracy or being thorough. More concentrated on shock gimmicks. The real crimes were shocking enough.

They got the murder order wrong. He did shoot the wife first, although I heard she was sitting at the kitchen table, not standing at the sink. And his mother was second. Patty wasn't feeling well and called for a ride home around noon, he drove her home and shot her. Frederick was dropped off next and shot. He went to John Jr.'s soccer game and watched him play before driving him home. John Jr. was shot several times because he didn't die right away like the others had.
John Walsh said in one of the books that he still had the forensic aged bust that led to the capture. He also said he received from the best friend of one of the boys, who thanked him for bringing his best friend's murderer to justice.

The thing about this is the house they lived in had a Tiffany glass ceiling in one of the rooms that was worth $20000 that he could have sold for much needed money, but then on the other hand he wanted to kill his family.
