on episode 3

At the beginning of the 3rd. episode there are scenes from previous episodes. They show a black man giving Danny a business card that says something about protecting people for 80 years, then Danny is shown tearing it up. I watch episode 1 about meeting Alex and then epidote 2 about meeting Alex's very strange parents, but never saw this black guy with the card before. Do they really edit that much out of the American version shown on BBC America? So not worth watching shows on this channel if this is the case.

Odd, he is at the end of the second episode. I watched the show through iTunes and the scene was in it. I am very surprised...

Wow, hilarious - did they edit the American man out of the US version? Not surprised.

After the show finished in the UK, many people brought up that scene as an example of how little sense the show made. In the original version the American turns up at the end of episode 2, gives Danny a card, and is never mentioned or seen again, ever!

Well, if they could edit the horrible ending of the fifth episode, I would not be sad...

That scene wasn't cut, and I'm watching it on BBC America (On Demand thru Comcast). Happens down by the river Thames late at night at the end of the second episode. Maybe try checking it out again, because seriously - it's there. Unless they edit differently for different parts of the country (which wouldn't make sense). I'm on the east coast, btw.
