I don't know what the big controversy is about - the sex scene was done in a very organic and tasteful way, it was a natural development of their relationship, you can tell they care for each other, it was not just sex, they were making love.
Besides, they both have beautiful bodies, especially Alex. What is not to like?

As for the sex scene and the romance, it seems to have caught people's imaginations (even though I guess straight men are squeamish). I see that the writer Rob Smith is taken with the fan art he is already coming across and is already re-tweeting it. Just wait till the porno fan fiction surfaces...only a matter of time, lol.
I though it was one of the most beautiful G-rated sex scene I have ever seen. The foreplay was extraordinary!!!
