I just finished watching Holiday Breakup and am curious to see what other people thought of this movie. Did you find it to be worth watching? Was it interesting? Boring? Would you recommend this to others? Please be honest with your responses, as this is purely a way for those of you who have seen the film to voice your opinions.
shareSpoilers.....I enjoyed it. I was not familiar with most of the cast but I thought the two leads did a good job. It was more of just a silly feel good movie. The whole swinging thing really wasn't needed and didn't add a lot to the movie. Would like to see the two leads again, maybe in something Hallmark does.
shareI agree with you, to a certain extent, LtlHippo. I have never seen Manon Mathews or Shawn Roe in anything prior to viewing this film. However, I do recognize Matt Riedy (Clark/Jeff's father) from Mad Men and Big Time Rush. Also, Mindy Sterling (Nanna) has starred on several television shows and movies, including iCarly, How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) and some films from the Austin Powers series. But yes, I would also like to see these leads in another film together, as they make for interesting entertainment.
shareHonestly, I couldn't believe how poorly written it was. The performances weren't terrible, and the concept could have been cute, but the script and editing were the worst I've ever seen! It was painful to watch.
shareI can see how you would think this, noley87. I agree that the script and editing may not have been the best in all film history, but given that Holiday Breakup is not a Hollywood movie and the budget was likely not that huge (which couldn't have helped with the editing), I would consider this movie a decent, near-average attempt at a good film.
