Did anyone see the stage show?

It was brilliant the cast did great "imitations" i use that word loosely as the cast seemed to pull the spirits of the actors and characters off perfectly. This cast is brilliant but not the actors I would have picked. They should have looked at the stage show.
To say the least i am always happy to give a film a chance but this one feels almost heart breaking for me. Yet i'll still watch it no doubt.

Was that the one a few years back with Leslie Grantham as Walker?

I saw it. Enjoyable night out from what I remember.

I remember that, my brother and his (now ex) girlfriend went to see that, he says it was pretty good!

I saw it and it was really really good :) Just shows you can put other actors in these roles and make it work, so hoping the film can pull it off.

Trouble is the stage show was basically line for line accurate to the original shows, so you're already onside with the actors as you know what's coming and also you're sat further away from the actors than a film camera.

What I mean by that is on film you'll always be able to see and hear that its not the original actors. Also its a new story so even though its familiar characters and setting, we're into uncharted, untested territory!

I wasn't blown away by mini trailer, just had far too much gloss and wrong vibe about it. I'm hopeful the footage shot and the way its edited, acted and scripted works when all put together in final film :)
