Had same experience in life as Will. My take.

I watched this last night. I did really enjoy the movie. It was a little scary how it hit so close to home on many fronts. I, like Will, had a wife who I found out was sleeping with someone else. We have 2 young boys and I related so much to all the discussions about drop off, routines, etc. I didn't have the same lingering feelings for her like he did and I don't feel like he was angry enough for her actions to be realistic but I did enjoy his perspectives.

One of the unexpected positives of divorce is that you get to bond even closer with your kids and do things just you and them. When they went camping and him playing with them in the woods it made me tear up.

I also related to his failings while dating before being ready to move on. He really conveyed that confusion that is hard to describe. I laughed when they said how dating really sucks. It is so true. I liked seeing him gain closure at the end. He always wanted to put his kids first even in spite of his cheating crazy ex which I found really inspiring for me personally.

The first film that really made me feel something in a little while. And I consider that a success.
