curious why both Will and Diane refer to what he writes as comic books..
...Seems to me pretty clear he writes graphic novels. Big difference. Anyone else?

Not sure Diane would be familiar with or interested in using the term, or why Will would feel the need to correct her. Plus, Will draws stories, that's probably all that matters to him/most artists. Some might get hung up on the terminology but I think that is something readers/audiences do.
shareits just terminology. most people haven't read a "graphic novel" or indie comics. almost everyone has read a comic strip or comic books. they don't know any better.
