Darren and Deidre - Implied Cycle continuotion?

I didn't read the book, but based on the amount of incest taking place in this family, was it implied that Darren and Deidre were going to start the cycle all over again. When they announced the second baby as a girl, I was like "Oh great, both sexes". Was this a foreshadowing of history repeating itself AGAIN? Did the books mention anything?

In the books they are symbols of carrie and cory, and the life they could have had. No shadowing that I recall

i'm new here, be gentle.

No in the books there was no cycle with them. It also makes a clearer outline as to why the incest starts in the first place and why it's so persistent.

D & D are more of a representation of Cory and Carrie, the twins who died previously.

Siblings in all VCA series, all seem to have a really "close" relationship and it's never seen as creepy except for in the book about Dawn's daughter where she comments how her twin cousins were too close since they used each others toothbrushes, had no friends but each other, brushed each other's hair and even took baths together. It's weird how they were supposed to be "weirdly" close but other siblings that had the same relationship weren't described that way
