"The source code"

If we accept Mr. Armstrongs position regarding his prison sentence. Basically that he was locked up indefinitely because he wouldn't reveal the formula which formed the so called "source code" for his forecasting business, then the best thing his antagonist could do, was to release him from prison.

I mean, they would count on him going back to working on it after being released. Especially since he would not stop writing about the subject even from inside prison.
They would also be aware of how much surveillance technology has advanced since he went away. If he indeed is the target of the government that he proclaims to be, then he could probably never again type something, on any electronic device, without it being recorded.

Then again I'm not so convinced by this documentary. Even though no one in it challenges his story in any way, I still think it does a poor work of convincing me of it's legitimacy.

What bothered me the most was the lack of focus on something that would be truly unique in human history. Being able to accurately and consistently predict market forces on a long term scale. If he was able to do that, why was only a handful of friends and family available to attest to it?

Best way to make sure or almost sure you are not recorded is to have pc that was never connected to internet and has been opened up and checked thorough for surveillance technology.

There's actually tech now to grab data via air, assuming it's encrypted you could then crack it. Not easy or common but it's possible.
