The guy bumrushed a cop with his hands at his sides.
So why did this movie have that lie in it?

The same reason they used the line about "lining the pockets of the NRA." Non-factual, liberal brainwashing

But the NRA does financially support numerous republican congressmen.

Not a lie in general. Many unarmed black men have been killed by cops.
