What was the worst movie of the summer of 2016?

So many bad movies this summer. Everyone I talk to is saying this was the worst year in movies in at least a decade.

So, if you had to pick just one, what was the worst/biggest disappointment?

Suicide Squad
Sausage Party
Mechanic: Resurrection
Jason Bourne
Star Trek Beyond
Ghostbusters (2016)
Ice Age: Collision Course
The Legend of Tarzan
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows
Independence Day: Resurgence
The Lobster
Alice Through the Looking Glass
The Purge: Election Year
Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising
Free State of Jones
Warcraft

I vote Suicide Squad. Just the worst of the worst.

Oh great! Another virgin telling me what I should and should not like!

Ghostbusters (2016), easily.

Sausage Party

The Conduit
Ice Sharks
Maximum Ride

Looking at that list makes me realize that there was a lot of garbage in the theater this year.

The Lobster had a seriously disappointing second half and a lousy ending. The scenes of animal cruelty/murder were awful, especially since the trailer made it look like a cute, quirky, fun rom-com.

ITA. I thought it would be one of those off beat think-piece type films that I usually love. It started off strong and then went no where.

I didn't see Sausage Party, but everyone I know who saw it said it was easily the worst movie they've ever seen.

Hollywood is a place where they'll pay you $50,000 for a kiss and 50 cents for your soul.

Well put about the Lobster.

I'm curious to see Sausage Party. I hope it's not terrible.

Time now to focus on the year's worst. This is right there with the worst of them.
