Robert Lorie is this generation's Robert de Niro

This movie has some flaws, but it deserves to be watched even if just for the standout performance of Robert Lorie. It's fair to say his effortlessness and charm in this movie rivals Robert de Niro in Taxi Driver.

Had this been a mainstream movie, he would have been nominated for an Oscar. Which I guess says more about Oscar than about his performance.
