Shouldn't this page be merged with the original twin peaks?

If it's a continuation, and the x-files new season was merged with the original series page.

TV Shows I've watched: http://www.imdb.com/list/ls072583934/. Any suggestions?

I think its best like this and maybe the 2017 TP was created because that's what the production asked for? It is distinct from the first two seasons - with a long time period between.

It's definitely part of the same story, but distinct and different at the same time - that's certainly what's being mentioned. That this new show will be darker and more startling than the original.

The X-Files had its own page until the new series aired, then they merged. I suspect the same will happen with Twin Peaks.

reply

I hope not. You can't base this theory on what happened with The X Files board - that show didn't have 27 years between one instalment and the next.

reply

Whatever the gap it's still a continuation. Maybe it depends on if the call it season 3 or season 1.

reply

The original series belongs to CBS and the new one belongs to Showtime. Different networks.

Shows change networks all the time. That has nothing to do with their imdb page.

Then again, the two Dallas shows remain separate. Not really any consistency on this sort of thing.

reply

With Dallas, there was also a long gap between one season ending and the new one, just like with Twin Peaks.

reply

The 2005+ Doctor Who page never merged with the older Doctor Who page, so who knows

reply

Neither did The Twilight Zone.

She has a kind of psychiatric cabaret. Very good. There was something about Suez.

Doctor Who (2005-Present) is a continuation of Doctor Who (1963-1989), and they've always had separate pages on IMDB.

The new show is quiet different from the old, and a lot of things happened off-screen in the 16 year intermin between the two shows. Also, only a handful of actors from the old show returned for the revival.

reply

No. This is a separate series also called "Twin Peaks: The Return."
