It's really annoying see these *Great* flims being turn into a TV series rush hour (TV) is boring and I personally didn't enjoy it
Now lethal weapon, training day and probably Down the road die hard)(God no)
The best film to TV follow up is probably M*A*S*H which I really enjoyed what's yours
The only film to tv show that was actually better than the movie that I can remember was Buffy the vampire slayer. The movie imo was ok compared to the tv show which introduce more characters and had its own spinoff with in it.
I think personally it can work, but it really depends on the direction that the director wants it to take. Either continue it from the same story or do something different with the main actors from the movies showing up as guest roles, etc.
It did work for limitless imo
