A dreadful mess of a film (contains some spoilers)

Oh what could have been a brilliant film is actually a dreadful, slow, boring mess.

Vincent's tortured character shines in a brilliant performance but the writing that surrounds the story line is an abysmal mess.

They could have taken some careful consideration into the story line and explained and expanded on the story itself but alas no. All effort and energies into this film were only focused on Vincent where Jessie's story was left behind.

So many obvious holes could easily have been filled in and please don't say "it's up to the imagination of the viewer to fill in the blanks", that's not this kind of film.

1). Why didn't Vincent call his security friends he worked with right away after the attack? or at least tell Denis his closest friend right away?

2). Jessie was completely un-phased by the attack in the car afterwards, at the house neither her or Ali showed any emotion, it was as though the attack never happened!

3). The ending is ridiculous! why didn't we get an explanation as to what was really going on with her husband and his shady dealings. His imagination at the end of having her stay behind without follow-up is absurd.

What a total waste of time, I was really looking forward to this release.

1) the police were supposed to be watching the house. Vincent might also have been a bit unsure who he could trust at that point.

2) they were in shock which was probably exacerbated by the fact that her husband was then arrested at Swiss border. Not a lot of time to cry and panic when you're trying to figure out next steps.

3) her husband's situation was very well explained if you paid any attention at all to the conversations that took place and the news reports. It was hardly rocket science.
