Looking at the big picture, Pierce's highest peak of career is GoldenEye, which accomplished two things simultaneously: multiple excellent reviews/ratings and its popularity among the general public (as in excellent box office returns). Based on his background, I know Pierce is better than this.

Pierce isn't getting a call to be in Gardians of the galaxy vol.2,
Furious 8 or Jurassic world 2 as far as i know,so he's got to take
what's being offered to him.
Pierce does, however, accept an invite to join the Expendables team in any of the upcoming films. Maybe he doesn't need to be in those big mega franchises. All it matters is that he gets the right scripts with the right directors along with reasonable product placements. I just hate to see what become of the James Bond I grew up with, especially when he's my favorite Bond and actor.
