They could be way nastier towards these people than they are. Instead I find myself falling in love with them & their beyond-lo-budget epic. Cheers to 'em & I hope SYFY keeps it on the air.

I know you posted your comment back last year but personally I felt obligated to inform you that your assumption was wrong about the people in this show. None of them are actors and nothing about that town is fake. That takes place in my hometown and every bit of what was shown in this series is true. I know each and every person that participated in this series either by being family or by going to school or working together. Each person in this series used their real names nothing was fake. How would like it if this had taken place in your hometown and some nobody online bashed your friends,family, and coworkers like you did in several posts. People like you are just jealous because you didn't think of getting off your ass first and doing the same thing and let me tell you John worked so hard to get this project done so he could make us proud to be from our hometown instead of being ashamed. They did have a hard time with the city and the county to get it done and if you can't understand that we live in the Bible belt you truly will never get why they had it so rough. But you are a fake person sitting behind a keyboard passing judgement on something you know absolutely nothing about.
