Wow. As a family, we really wanted to enjoy this movie. Nope. Terrible. Terrible acting and terrible filming. This is at least the fifth time the UP Network has let us down. The titles usually have a nice vibe to them but when we sit down to watch, the shows are awful. Total waste of time. Even the kids said it was bad. Wow.
shareI often read peoples opinions of films an realize that they take from a film different messages and ideas. I liked A Beverly Hills Christmas for the following reasons. When it comes to holiday flicks I want to be sit back with my family and be entertained. No really heavy messages but simply to enjoy with my family in the TV room. This movie did it for me. I watched the film and my little boy laughed at the rock singer falling off the car getting his luggage. My daughter liked looking at the Ravin girls fun LA outfits. This message was simple and sweet. Care about others and help others, not to be selfish, a be a kind person... It is a universal message I think we can all agree on in the movie. I will also break it down to what I thought were it strong points and weak points. I love seeing woman being career minded. Angelina was strong willed but showed compassion at the end of the movie to her daughter Ravin. We saw the softer side of her. I wanted to see Angelina though be a fighter with Angel Gabriel(Dean Cain) and really tell him that she wanted to be able to communicate with her daughter ONE ON ONE for the last time. Never saw that in the movie. Where Angelina and Ravin look in each others eyes are Really SEE each other. I also enjoyed Jerry (Brandon)and Ravin's (Ravin)connections towards the second half of the movie. They showed the kind of teen love that was pure and innocent. Jerry was like a spiritual guide on earth to Ravin because he was poor and he only had kindness to give really. My kids liked seeing them together. The set of parents were great. I liked James(Vincent)and Carol (Kirsten) who were the rich well put together parents. But I thought they both had a conscious about raising the daughter down a good path. Jerry's parents Tony(Seth) & Lindsey (Sara) were hip foster parents that were so down to earth and very relatable. Dean Cain like in every holiday movie does a great job and I know it Christmas time when I see him on TV. Just so you know I read some good reviews on the movie and some others not so great. I feel the movie has a nice vibe and worth seeing with a family that likes to be simply entertained during the holidays. Acting was fine because it seemed like real people to me.
shareThis movie was horrible. If you are even remotely serious in your reply, I have to shake my head. While we are all entitled to our opinion, I must question yours. By far, one of the most awful movies ever made. Horrible.
shareWe all like family-oriented nice unchallenging movies (sometimes). That is why we tune these things in. This movie was just bad.
shareMy family liked the movie because in a way it was orginal to us. I know that my kids liked the funny bits with the dog. Also they liked seeing the super natural element of the angels. It was just terrific for us.

shareI couldn't watch it because the quality of the filming was horrible. It really felt like a super low budget film that might have had a 'scrooge-like' story. It just did not stay on for more than 15 mins?
shareMy family saved the film on DVR and waited until I got home from work to sit and watch Beverly Hills Christmas together. I found the movie to be entertaining. Maybe you do not have a family that sees the good in the movie. SORRY!! This is what the kids liked. My one daughter had a bully in her class since middle school. The girl was very much like the Ravin character. My daughter would go to class everyday and get picked on by her. She would tease my little girl about her hair and her backpack. She found out that her parents were divorced and did not have a stable home life. She took it out on my girl. My daughter said to me that the reason she ENJOYED the movie is that it did not matter she was teased and that she knew in her heart that she never wanted to be that way and to be more kind to her classmate. They are the values I want my family to have and see. Yes I am praising the film because of the message the story it has shown. I respect your opinion but these FOLKS liked the movie. I do not know who made the film. I looked them up they seem legit and do not work at a Diner. They are respectable hard working actor and people. Happy holidays
