Just watched the first episode. It's fantastic, literally one of the best TV episodes I've ever seen. How is it that nobody is or was talking about this show? And a 6.9 rating by just 1500 IMDb users, seriously? Bloody hell.
shareGood question. My guesses would probably be the same as yours. That it's not glossy enough, has subtitles, and operates in subtlety more frequently than sensationalism.
Have never really thought imdb ratings were accurate since the majority of site users skew young. Everytime I checked the top ranked films it's littered with unworthy titles, there only because of their newness. As for why network execs don't recognize this type of quality... I'd say pure habit.
