I'm probably not going to watch. I understand they did a season finale for a season 2. It will just tick me off that there will not be a season 2.

Why Sunday?

reply

No idea! Just more inconsistency at NBC concerning 'Game Of Silence' IMO! They have not given it the support it deserves, or what they give other shows on their network.
It's like they wanted it to fail from the get-go. 😡

reply

NBC so didn't support this that they put this finale episode just at the end of the Miss Universe Pageant where it almost lapped over. They really didn't care. Ah well, one less show to watch on Thursday nights. My time slot was full anyway. And I'm not adding one single NEW show to my schedule and if more people do like I do, a lot of shows will end up with just one season, because people are getting fed up. They might not tune in to new shows either, just like I am planning not to.

Burn off three episodes in one week.

reply

Thank you for the info, I am still gutted that the show was cancelled.

Why are so many crap shows being renewed, not to mention reality tv, and interesting, well written shows with great actors are just scrapped 😠

YW! I don't understand it either. Mind boggling!

reply

I couldn't agree more. David Lyons is such a great actor. I remember him from "Revolution". The entire cast is great. I don't think these networks have any justification for cancelling a well-written, amazingly well-acted show. And the last scene OMG!! How depressing and horrible was that!

reply

I'm so sad that Game of Silence didn't get picked up for another season! It has a great plot and actors and I didn't miss any episode's. The "Road Trip" episode left an intriguing Cliff hanger. I couldn't wait for the next episode. How NBC decided not to pick this series up for another season is beyond all COMPREHENSION! This type of decision making explains why american networks? consistently struggle with viewer ship! Executives never want to step out of the "proverbial box"! My friends, family and I turn to Netflix,Hulu and Roku for new and refreshing plots like GOS and turn off network TV with boring sitcoms and repetitive dramas!!

reply

?we are sad GOS has been silenced!

reply

Well said rlwhite, and I totally agree. In this sad age of crappy 'reality' TV, which often glorifies bad behavior, I'm gobsmacked that when a good show like GOS comes along, it isn't given the chance it deserves. AND that advertisers/networks concentrate more on the 18 to 49 demographic, and seem to forget about those of us over 49, But then, that explains a lot! SMDH!

Eh this show was pretty terrible. It did terrible in both ratings and reviews. I'd be shocked if netflix or anyone picks it up.

reply

Curious...how many episodes did you watch to form your opinion? Honestly, each episode was better than the one before it.

I agree GOS was facinating for 9 episodes, but were you really satisfied with the finale? I thought it seemed contrived, compared to the rest of the season.

reply

Wow. NBC really didn't care about this show. It's only by chance 5 minutes ago that I saw it's airing tonight, else I would have been looking for it on Thursday. Why would they do that? Even if they're ending it, why not end it on the said Thursday night? Ridiculous. I will watch it although I'm sure we're not going to get any closure.

Canceled, why? What the h€ll? It was good tonight...well, sorta, I lost it when he pulled his fiancee out of the trunk!! I am so mad I thought it was doing so well. I'm getting sick of these cancellations of good shows for these stupid reality shows!!! Channel 3 scheduling is ridiculous, who is running that place? I'm mad.

reply

IT TRULY SUCKS HOW NBC DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN THAT PEOPLE REALLY WERE INTO THIS SHOW, GAME OF SILENCE. IT WAS REALLY SOMETHING GOOD FOR ONCE. WHAT THE HELL IS THE MATTER WITH NBC?

reply

I so agree with you it's like they have the most incompetent people working for them.

reply

Very well said, and I totally agree.

It's like they stuck 'Game Of Silence' in as a filler...not thinking it would gain the fan base that it has. Shuffling the time slot the first & last week it aired, PLUS, up against the NBA playoffs/finals as well as Miss USA, Game of Thrones tonight....and YET...we still had it trending on Twitter!

Very little promotion.

I suspect NBC can't deal with a well written, well acted show that is so far out of the box from the likes of 3 'Chicago...(insert employment here),' athletic competition shows, and such. I know 'Blindspot' is their pick-of-the-litter,and I watched...for awhile. But not like I did GOS. Sad really.
