What was the pink liquid that the boys were pouring on the tree stumps? What was burning the kid? Acid?

I was trying to figure that out too and I thought missed something. You might be right that it was some kind of acid. The way that poor kid was crying and screaming, it must have been so painful.

Yep. Acid. I'd also like to add that if that kid was burned over his entire body by acid, there's virtually no way he'd be coherent enough to scream and beg, let alone walk. He'd have passed out from the pain and possibly gone into shock and/or organ failure.
Just one in a growing line of ridiculous inaccuracies in what could have been a promising series.
Eh....I didn't think it ever looked especially impressive anyway, but I will say, there's more with this tree stump thing that makes no sense: usually stump remover is in granular form (and has been for decades). Why would they have it in a huge vat of liquid, thus making it like billion times more dangerous? And have this as work done by children, without benefit of any sort of hazmat protection?
Oh right, for the silly plot. And to prove: evilllll...though seriously, this thing is now reminding me of Chained Heat or those USA Up All Night sexy ladies behind bars type films. Except this time it's kids.
I posted on another thread that when they got details about Houston and Texas wrong it ruined the show. This detail should have everyone in North America scratching their heads. 😕

Nobody outside of Houston and Texas cares about whether they got those details right. I sure as hell didn't, and I liked the show. You might as well not watch anything on TV, because that's how they shoot shows on location--where they can or are allowed to.
