Better than the original series?

I think this might just be better than the original Japanese drama.
It's got some good acting (especially the villain) and nice twists of its own.
Sure the original was an over-the-top goofy fun but it wasn't particularly memorable.
Here the characters are fleshed out and the solid plot makes it more worthwhile.
