I enjoyed this film

It played on ShoFamily in the States. I DVR'd it, then came here to read some rather rough comments, and a few laudatory ones, all of which compelled me to go ahead and watch. It was colorful, exciting, and most important gave me stuff to research -- Vortigern, for example. I began with him, and wound up with Bede and then went to see if one of my old university professors had ever translated anything pertinent, and possibly he had in The Alliterative Morte Arthure, way back in 1971. There is a later translation by Simon Armitage which others may be more familiar with.
