But it's not going to be a perfect, survival show. Only idiots would expect such, as people can get seriously injured or even die. So people who tend to cry a lot, shouldn't watch this show.

There certainly are setup where the show aided them.

The British version of this show, just recently finished their Season 2. British S1, was 13-14 men. S2 was 13-14 Men on one island and 13-14 women on another island. The women were pure comedy.

Well I saw 3 eps of the british version S-2 and it was awful.

He drops them off on the bad side of the island, just so they have to walk thru the jungle to get to the beach, they are taught to use the bow and string method to start fire which isnt a good way, they have no pot to boil the water, and using the jerry cans is stupid, they arent taught how to build a water proof shelter or really have time to do it.
and is is the ropical storm season lol

the show is a lot like survivor only no game, and the only way off is t quit.
The smart ones are the ones who quit early.
This is really just put some people out there and watch them suffer.

Yeah, so what? He made it difficult.

How do you know that they're only taught this one way. And you're full of sh.t. Make a video of you starting a fire, post it on YouTube and show us the link. I doubt you can do it.

How else would they boil water on a deserted island?

These were regular people and not survivalists, duh?

Er each island of people get a week of survival training which entails how to do these things. they are not survival experts though.

It's better than nothing, so it deserves acclaim. Watching confident men get humbled is worth the price of admission alone.. And I like Bear Grylls. I know him personally and he isn't what "back country purists" perceive him as. If people could only see the host from the profiteers manufacturing their television..
