In fact, I'm a little surprised they waited so long. The guy was in obvious severe distress for a long time.

A "journey of discovery" isn't worth jeopardizing your long-term health. Or risking death/intestinal surgery.

Totally agree. I can't believe there was no producer intervention before it got that far. I kept waiting for them to tell him he HAD to leave the island for medical treatment. His situation seemed pretty damn dire.

I think a medical team came in and checked him out. Not that they ever did a job of documenting their activities but by the time he got the prolapsed rectum they were doing a poor job of letting us now what was going on with everyone.

There was a comment made by Dbag Jim when he was complaining about people drinking too much water and he mentioned that if they used up all the water at the spot they were getting it from they would have to move on to one that was a 5 hour walk. Not once was this second water source ever mentioned or even considered before Jim brought it up. We were led to believe that they didn't know where water was and they just happened on the one that they were using.
