Totally agreed. I was liking this show at first.. but now I can't seem to like any of the characters. I don't know if I will continue to watch if a 2nd season is released.

I heard the expression "you don't date people, you date their representatives". I think their real characters emerged in the last two episodes, and we didn't get a chance to see them before. It's like watching a completely different story. I liked it.

If talking about the characters: Not the way I'd put it and I can't agree with your categorization of each, but, yeah... events sure let their dysfunctions dominate over their situations.
If talking about the series: I disagree wholeheartedly.
