According to the Pew Research Center, Christianity is facing a sharp decline as Americans are becoming less affliated with religion. Millennials are growing even less affiliated with religion as they get older. There are more religiously unaffiliated Americans than Catholic Americans or mainline Protestant Americans. Those who are unaffiliated are becoming more secular.

What we are experiencing are the last desperate cries of cultural relevancy among the “social conservatives” of the baby boomer and genX generations. The world is not ending, THEIR world is ending. The ultimate projection! Many of the cultural beliefs they grew up with, thanks to the internet, are now seen as outdated and sometimes even ignorant. As we enter the 21st century, many of these Americans feel “left behind” in a world that has changed so much. They feel lost, they feel scared, they feel abandoned and persecuted. Strong political conservatives like Trump serve as a validation to this fear.

In the end, you could say that this film is just a psychological projection from a fading generation.

I do not feel lost or scared. I feel very secure knowing my Jesus Yeshua died to save me from sin an he has the keys to the pit of hell he is Soverein an has it all in his control for his glory. When The bible prophecies take place as it must, I know to die is to be present with the Lord with no pain. I have has many answered prayers that were true miracles. I know God is Lord and as the bible says one day every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that he is Lord. I feel for you because if your mind cannot conceive it now, you will never be able to handle it when it really happens. Ask God to reveal his truth to you. Ask him to give you an understanding mind and heart. Our nation is deteriating because people have turned their back on God an his love an blessings. Religion has been declining since religion was though of. The main cause of the decline is due to more available knowledge. People are coming to there senses and understanding what religion was about.

If this thread proves anything, it's that those taking the bible and religion seriously are completely delusional. Just imagine how primitive and unknowledgeable humans would be if we all relied on the church for science and history teachings, as Christians in this thread appear to be doing. For instance, we'd all be convinced the earth is flat and only 6,000 years old, and we'd have no reason to seek evidence or explanations (because we already know 'god did it'). We'd also find it moral to murder one another for a variety of mundane offense, own slaves, abuse women and deny them any rights and so on. Unfortunately there are a few Christians who seem to still be living by this absurd doctrine, but hopefully they are the final generation who maintains these barbaric values.
