Age difference between Bart and Jory.

in the book arnt they about two years apart

Wikipedia plot summary for the book says Jory is 14 and Bart is 9.

I think in the movie, Bart is suppose to be like 13 and Jory like 17. The kid who played Bart looked and acted the part. The guy who played Jory was way too old looking. But I guess that wanted to add the sex scene so they got an older actor.

I believe it's about 3 1/2-4 years in the book. Jory is around three when Cathy moves them to Virginia.

The book may be one way but there's too many inconsistencies in the movies. She became pregnant with Bart about a year after she had Jory yet the two boys look about 7 years apart in the movie. It's like they don't even try.
