...to the baby they kidnapped? I don't recall them ever mentioning it again.

Lol I'm wondering the same thing. Film was so weird I don't know what happened full stop!

It was left locked in a room with the nanny. The rest you can assume, they either got out and it became an orphan. Or they starved to death... doubt it.
