Mighty convenient Chloe
Didn't mention Lucifer's incredible strength when he threw a 280lb 15yds with his fingertips. Wonder how Amenadiel would explain that

shareShe didn't believe Amenadiel, but she's also a rational, logical person and no rational person is going to automatically believe that just because she sees something strange, she should attribute it to "The Devil". That's more 1600s thinking than 2016.

true she probably thinks drugs with the strength thing.
sharethere are no drugs that give you super strength...

And there have been many more accounts of police officers dealing with people high on certain varieties of amphetamines and PCP who can accomplish crazy feats of strength mainly because they are impervious to pain and have no fear.
This is definitely something that would seem like a possibility for Lucifer since he openly acknowledges his drug usage.

PCP/Angel Dust comes to mind.
shareNone of those drugs actually give you superhuman strength. It only seams that way because they feel no pain and no longer fear injury or death. Some make them a little crazy as well. I worked as a jail warden many years ago and trying to subdue someone high on PCP is hard as hell. Even an average size guy on PCP can take 5 to 6 guys to hold down. I've seen a guy break his arm trying to get away and he didn't even realize it. He was still throwing punches with the broken arm.
shareadrenaline.
I used to be indecisive. Now, I'm not so sure.
Maybe for a punch not for finger flicking
shareIt's true, it is perplexing. But people can do strange things when they believe they can. Or when they don't stop to think. My own father lifted a truck off of a person to save his life...it shouldn't have been possible, but he didn't think and I guess adrenaline did the rest.
As a detective, Chloe's probably seen some really strange things and she's not sure what to think about Lucifer. She's not dismissing what she's seen as normal, but she's also not ready to buy into something that she doesn't believe in, mythological, supernatural beings. To be honest, I wouldn't either. But like Lauren German said in her promo, she thinks that at some point, Chloe will see something so incredible she won't be able to dismiss it anymore.

hey it worked for smallville many times XD

Actually the worst part was probably Amenadiel shooting himself point-blank and not batting an eye-lid. Even with a bullet proof vest one would experience a huge pain, like getting a powerful kick in the stomach - as a police officer Chloe would know that. Not sure is it just a screw up from the writers though.
shareYeah that too.
shareI'm sure his lack of reaction is another reason she is suspicious of Amenadiel.

I think that all Amenadiel did was show Chloe that he too is not as he seems because you're right, he should have been doubled over in pain, or at least had the wind knocked out of him. So if anything, I would think she is more suspicious of both of them.
shareStill not sure whether he was meant to behave like that or they simply forgot, movies more often than not ignore such things.
shareI don't think it was an oversight. I mean she even said that he still could have been seriously injured even with the vest. And he just stood there unphased.
Plus her initial reaction, even though her words were saying "I don't believe it" actually implied that she was maybe considering believing "it". Until he turned the tables on her. But I totally get why she wasn't buying his story at all. Too many things don't add up for a smart detective like her.

Chloe is a Detective and intelligent and I'm sure she is tucking away all these little nuggets of information, to peruse at a later date. When she does finally "believe" it will change their dynamics.
I think she will find out for certain in a big way,by the end of the season and we will see the fall out ect,in season 3. They are not going to tell us how he is vulnerable and let her believe in the same season. Those are both two really huge revelations and she still has to meet his mom.
lol, lets not put all are "eggs" in one basket,we might need them.

According to a twitter post by the Lucifer writers, it sounds like someone is going to finally believe Lucifer about him being the devil in season 2.
shareI don't remember reading about it and I'm not a twitter gal. I look forward to seeing how it unfolds.
