IMDB Replacement Boards Posted In One Place!

Okay, well setting up message boards seems to have gotten harder not easier. I am not finding it a simple task. I haven't given up, but progress is very slow. If anyone understands any of these techy things, like using text editors and FTP, etc. and wants to help set up a board, please PM me.

In the meantime. Would you all be okay if we had one thread dedicated to alternative sites?

I know I'm starting to lose track of all the suggestions. So I'll start by posting what I've collected and maybe you can add any sites I'm missing. Also, if you have any experience with a site, feel free to rate it on a scale of maybe 1-10? Like 10 is great and similar to this site. 1 is not at all great and nothing like this site?

There's nothing about Lucifer there. It looks like somebody could create a topic thread dedicated to the show under their Tv/crime section? But no subtopics or multiple threads? So all discussion would be limited to one thread? I don't much like that.

It is basically the same hosting platform as the board I'm trying to set up. Hoping for better organization and the ability to create multiple threads and even pin some of them, like other boards I've frequented. Unfortunately, the hosting platform is just not that administrator-friendly for novices. :(

eta: Also, how do they think they can keep using that name? I'd be surprised if they don't get shut down by IMDB.

I just downloaded an app that called reddit is fun, I think it's the mobile equivalent of the reddit res available for pc users (I couldn't figure out how to install that on my phone.) It seems a lot easier to use than reddit classic, but I just got it and am not sure of all the ins and outs. I wish I knew more about this stuff so I could give you a better insight.

Correction, I tried to use this and just about gave myself an aneurysm. I don't have enough middle fingers for reddit. I just can't make my brain understand it...It's like math :/

Get Sync for reddit instead since it's the best reddit app.

I have tried syncing everything to no avail. I resign myself to just being tech illiterate. :(

Ok *blush* I found the app you were taking about and downloaded it. The sync I was referring to is that every time I went to chrome to sync for reddit res (which is different from the app) it wouldn't work. But hopefully this 3.99 app will help me out. Thank you again :)

Ok a million times thank you! That app worked. Now I just have tho figure it out. So I should 2nd up tho speed when the shows cancelled :)~ But I Thank you for the New board option.I'll keep plugging away at it :)

Aww thank you for the "sweet" thingy 😳

I made some inquiries with the WordPress help forum.
It seems I can create as many "blogs" as I want in my site.

So I will create a "Lucifer" blog there and explore the options for comments and sub-threads.

I am not too PC savy but was Moderator and Admin of several forums way back and can find my way around, WordPress.

However, if I don't have any response by the end of this month I will not be looking for any mails or posts.

I am also thinking we need to make sure Fox know we need the show renewed for Season 3. I really dont know why they havent yet . Where is the best place to do that? I keep reading that they should, but why they are waiting ino one seems to lknow in anything I read.
Then saw today on twitter that the writers were asking for creative ways to tell Fox to renew.

Hi mandisano , I hate "social media" but subscribed to Twitter because many of Lucifer's actors and writers, and other staff are quite active there.
.... and you are right there are some comments about promoting/asking for a Season 3.
Maybe after or during the pending last 8 episodes after May ... 😩 we may get news ?

I wouldn't worry about renewal. Fox has renewed almost no shows, except for a couple of reality shows that consistently get huge ratings and are cheap to produce, like DWTS as well as The Simpsons and Empire. But almost every other show is still waiting.

That doesn't mean we shouldn't tweet to get it renewed, but I wouldn't worry yet.

So agree. I would hate to lose this as well. Maybe right before it shuts down . We can post which sites we are using. That way we are not completely seperated. I so enjoy our discussions on these boards and the different views offered by all.

As far as I can see, you click on Home, enter your email, user name and website if any and then post. After that it is just a matter of waiting until Martha gives the post the thumbs up.
