That was my first thought, too. Unless Trixie takes an Uber to see Lucifer without Chloe knowing. :)

Boy, that's going to be a strained relationship, I'd think. How are they, especially Chloe, going to go about acting normally once they start working together again?

Lucifer gets down on his knees and begs forgiveness? Or he tells her the truth? They aren't going to drag it out since the core of the show is their relationship.

This shows moves very quickly which I love! This will put the brakes on the romantic part of their relationship, but I think the professional/friend part will get resolved pretty quickly. One, the show won't work otherwise. Two, lucifer doesn't lie and I think that sincerity/clear heartbreak will cause Chloe to forgive him. He didn't leave to hurt her, and she will believe that (once he tells her).

I like that he's holding her hand. Hopefully he is overcoming his child aversion issues, at least with her.
