Tides

I enjoyed the movie. At least it didn't waste the first 30 minutes setting up the character like most movies of this genre. The action started up pretty much right away.

I don't know too much about tides, but she was on that rock an awful long time (day and night it seemed) before she had to move off because of high tide. I think ocean tides rise and fall a lot faster than that?

You get two high tides per day

The movie was pretty boring so I forgot how often she moved.

Get on the scale son! Get off the scale.

Thank you. Just caught this on cable, and I'm glad somebody else picked up on that. The writer apparently thinks that high tide comes 12 hours after low tide. As Jeff points, out, there are two sets of high and low tides per day. High tide follows low tide by 6 hours (and 12 minutes), not 12 hours.
