Rank these recent YA book-to-film adaptions.

From the following list, rank your TOP 3 favourite young adult book-to-film adaptations:

— The Maze Runner
— Harry Potter
— Divergent
— Insurgent
— The Hunger Games
— Catching Fire
— Mockingjay, Part 1
— Ender's Game
— Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief
— Mortal Instruments: City of Bones
— I Am Number Four

…or anything else you feel might fit within the YA/action genre!

Am keen to see where The Maze Runner fits into your lists… or if it makes the cut at all! 

My top 3 from your list:

1. The Maze Runner
2. Catching Fire
3. Mockingjay, Part 1

PS. This is actually a great idea! 

Thanks for sharing. 

For the record, my TOP 3 are:
1. Perks of Being A Wallflower
2. The Maze Runner
3. Catching Fire

And honourable mentions to The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. The former is technically a children's book and would have been my number one… if I was cheating (not really YA, though)! Also, I really enjoyed the HP films but there were a few that were weak in the series (at least for me), so I kept it off my Top 3.

THE SCORCH TRIALS 09-18-15

1. Maze Runner
2. The Fault in Our Stars... it wasn't on your list but this movie along with Perks of Being a Wallflower, have been the BEST adaptations IMO. I like these types of contemporary stories more than any dystopian/fantasy stories. Contemporary stories are the only stories with relatable characters because of the time they are set in.
3. Hunger Games

Sorry for excluding TFIOS and Perks. I did consider including them, but felt they were of a different genre to the others that I listed. Regardless, I completely agree with your sentiments on Perks. It was one of my favourite books growing up, and the book-to-film adaptation was fantastic!

As a side note, have you seen Me, Earl and the Dying Girl? I have yet to watch it, but it also falls outside the dystopian/fantasy genre and was well-received by critics.

I did read the book, but I have not seen the movie. It had a limited release here in the U.S. so the closest theater showing it was about 300 miles away...
I personally think we should get more of these contemporary stories, because some are very good coming of age stories and they are very relatable.

Wasn't sure if you were referring to Harry Potter as a whole or just the first movie. If it is the whole series it takes my number one spot!

I did mean the series in its entirety, but my fingers didn't have the energy to type out each individual film. 

Harry Potter
Hunger Games (all films)
Immortal Instruments (I wish it had caught on and been a series)

The rest of them are pretty much 'me to'; just cashing in on a trend, and it shows.
