Mark Madoff: Hero or Coward?

Many just more but I don't think any of them killed themselves?

Mark Madoff: Hero or Coward?

Mark Madoff: victim

Andrew deposited almost $1 million into Madoff's ponzi scheme and withdrew $17 million; Mark deposited $745,482 withdrew $18.1 million .

I think Madoff son were both hypocrite , they condamned their father but they keep the investment profit from Madoff's ponzi scheme.

They are stupid because they never suspect the entire investment floor were fake , and yet they wanted to take over the Investing floor eventually .

With both dead, the wives/ex-wives/girlfriend have all the money and properties. Disgusting.

Angry Victim against the sins of the father.

reply

Victim. The son could NOT live with what his father did; and even changing his name did not alleviate his conscience.

reply

I agree, the sons are victims.

Plus the shock and shame of finding out that your father is a sociopath and a crook.

reply

I think that its rather puerile to have to force people into diametrically-opposed categories like "hero" or "coward".

How would any of us react in his situation when his father's scam blew up in all their faces? We don't really know until it happens.

A very weak-willed and low-character man unfortunately.
First he could have gone out on his own instead of whining to Daddy to promote him.
Secondly he could have acted a little less self-righteous when his father revealed he was a crook and not throw his own father under the bus without any hesitation.
Thirdly I understand he killed himself, leaving his wife and a daughter...

reply

A victim; yes.. but also a complete & total coward.
To do what he did with his toddler son in the next room, coward. Just horrible.
Too bad Andrew's cancer wasn't on him, at least he could have just given up and not sought treatment

... and their 'pauper' new lives, like their mother's, was in the millions. Way more than the majority of people will ever see in their lives.

Throwing his father under the bus was the exact right thing to do; too bad he didn't continue in that vein.

reply

Turning in his dad was the only decent thing he did. I don't blame him for taking his own life, but really with his son on the next room?

No regard for anyone else's feelings whatsoever.

reply

He turned his father in to save his own skin , he meet with a lawyner before he turned father in .

If he was a hero he would have turn his father in before he consult with the lawyer , he was only looking after his own interest

reply

Suicide is awful, but it's a person's own personal decision. I don't consider anybody a "coward" who resorts to it.
