Hank's beard go? Did he not even have it to begin with because he was never actually stranded on a desert island or did he shave it off once he got to the mainland? I find it hard to believe he found some razors in a forest, or that all the time he was out there he never even grew one bit of stubble.

Also, the ending completely contradicts itself by making Mannie real and as mentioned in previous posts, ruins any ideas that the film had built up previously, so I'm in two halfs about the film. I don't know if it's the biggest load of crap or absolute genius.

You must've missed it, but they very briefly show him using Manny's teeth to trim his beard off.

Yeah, there was a very brief scene, when he was building the "bus" in the forest, where he is using Manny's teeth to shave his beard off. Manny must have some pretty sharp teeth not only because they cut hair but also because of how smooth his face was afterwards. That was a close shave!
