The part of the movie that "got you".

I've seen many different takes on what the hardest hitting scene of the movie is for people. What's yours?

Mine is when they pulled the body bags from the rubble. Shook me to my core.

Yep, that scene and also just everything from the moment we first see the house ablaze. The whole film we don't know what it is that happened to this guy, and then suddenly we get to see what this tragedy actually was.

When the wife is screaming "My kids are in there" I totally lost it.

Very scary scene that is!!

The conversation between Lee and his ex-wife towards the end of the movie.

Mine was when Lee runs into his ex-wife and she breaks down and can't get through his shell. That was a powerful moment.

The scene which, out of the blue, revealed the great tragedy in Lee and Randi's life. A stunning sequence. I had managed to avoid spoilers (apparently the trailer for the film gave this away, which is appalling marketing) and this moment slammed into me like a wrecking ball. Some of the most powerful filmmaking of the last few years.
