The swearing


Wow, I can't believe I'm actually making a post like this. I have absolutely no problem with swearing, I myself swear quite often. But in this movie, I think the amount of swearing was a flaw. Not because it's offensive, because it makes no sense. Everyone constantly swore in every sentence for no apparent reason, even in scenes where it really wasn't required, and felt really out of place. For example, Lee and Randi constantly swore even before the fire while they were happily married. It almost seems like the writer was trying to prove he knows the F word. The problem isn't even the amount of swearing, the problem is how it's used. Many other movies have much more swearing, such as Goodfellas, but it makes sense, since they're gangsters.

It parts of Massachusettes the people are stereotypically known to swear alot.

Yeah, they've got the asshole culture up there in New England where everyone's just an asshole all the time and the women all sound like Lois Griffin
