An underrated masterpiece

Don't listen to the reviews, go see this immediately. My theater audience consisting of mature, 21+ year old college graduates was genuinely frightened. Not a single jump scare in this.. what is a horror masterpiece of likes we haven't seen since the original exorcist.

Not a single jump scare?

Now I know you actually haven't seen the movie, there are several.

Lmao. Just watched this movie last night and it is a masterpiece.

A master piece of *beep* Terrible story. The actors are painful to watch. The reveal of said bye bye man was an insult to every horror lover out there. To say that it uses Hitchcock techniques is an insult.

Don't waste your hard earned money. Or anyone else's for that matter.

While I agree it wasn't a great film, I've definitely seen worse and I was pleasantly surprised that there weren't any cheap jumpscares, and that all of the jumpscares in the film actually propelled the plot forward. Otherwise, I agree, it was pretty bad. The best acting came from Carrie-Anne Moss and Faye Dunaway, even though both of them had about 20 minutes of screentime combined.

The concept is good enough. That makes it an ok movie in my book.
