SO disappointing!

Having read the excellent true crime book, Serpentine, I was really looking forward to seeing the story of Charles Sobhraj on film. Such a mess this film, a hodgepodge of scenes of Charles partying with loud music. The last half hour or so tries to tie up the many crimes in different countries, only adding to the confusion. Also the music is very intrusive, detracting from making any sense of the jumbled scenes. All the female characters look perplexingly alike, but this may be my Western "eye" failing to discriminate differences. The only outstanding feature of this film is Randeep Hooda, who, despite the bad direction, editing, and overwhelming music, actually captures some of Sobraj's charismatic personna. He deserved a much better vehicle for his talent.
