Alcoholic country

i thought Zoya was a bit harsh calling Australia an alcoholic country, surely we're not as bad as the Czechs. Right? I think, as bad as Australia is, we're improving.

Hmm Not sure if we are improving. I'm a full time musician here in OZ so I'm out playing venues/functions every week and from what I've witnessed, we are getting worse. So many people who drink excessively and cannot learn to recognize when they've had enough, starting fights, yelling at others and just generally being a nuisance to people who are either trying to work or have a good time.

I think she was pretty close to the mark.

Apparently you're not quite, at least in terms of alcohol consumption (not sure about actual drinking disorders though, but that's probably difficult to measure at best).

When I traveled australia in the 80's I came to the conclusion that every GENUINE Australian male is born alcoholic the question is if they can live up to true potential in life?
