How about that finale, huh? (finale spoilers)

The last scenes with Leonardito and Isadora were all over the place. I guess it was fitting that Leonardo and Isadora completely lost it. Before that when it looked like things were going their way I said, "Some freak of nature will come along and help Arturo and Cayetana." Then there was a snake and quick sand. lol

For weeks I thought Cayetana would shoot Leonardo, so the biggest surprises were that Isadora shot him, then herself . I can see why the writers did it that way instead of Cayetana and Arturo having it on their consciences.

As crazy as all that was it was touching how Cayetana finally saw the light and she and Arturo had each other's backs. I wanted to see more regarding Cayetana's discovery of who the Gallardos really are.

I wanted to see a little more fear from Leonardo when he was sinking in the quicksand. I wanted him to have some realization that he's about to die and have to lower himself to begging Arturo to save him since he thought he was so above the Gallardos when he probably really wasn't. I'm guessing he came from some cockroach infested ghetto in Mexico. And it was probably a violent home life or childhood considering he used violence to solve any problems he had. Like all the times he mistreated or manhandled Sofia, beat the crap out of Pablo twice, head-butted the ranch hand who didn't do what he wanted with the fence, sinking to an all time low and ordering the beating of a horse who didn't want to be shaved and then slapping Andrea when she protested.

That could've been a good twist. Then maybe we could've seen some genuine humanity from him for once. You're right, he did constantly use violence every chance he had. I was surprised it didn't occur to him to not "make waves" in order to accomplish his bigger goal of scamming Cayetana.

By the way, sorry I couldn't reply sooner. I was under the weather for the past couple of weeks.

The whole finale was a giant mess! LOL. Fabian was okay playing Leo but at the last episode it was such a bad performance, caricature to be exact.

All series, only Scarlet and Sonya were consistent. Scarlet was really a breakout on her role as Andrea. You'll be pissed and annoyed w/ her. You will sympathized when she was really crazy in love w/ Samuel. She displayed so many emotions on this remake. And Sonya continued why she's one of the most gifted actresses in Telenovela world.

My problem w/ this remake was the phasing. It was badly phased.

I enjoyed some of it, but I agree, too much of it was a mess. The writers for this show were great when it came to the love stories (in my opinion). However when it came to the villains it was obvious the writers didn't want to do anything with them which would interfere with what was planned for the three main couples (or the other "good guys"). There was so much potential with the villains and you could tell they were thinking about that -- like with Emilio "threatening" to marry Cayetana, and to purchase the various properties or whatever -- but they kept brushing that aside. Instead they had Leonardo and Isadora acting crazy because a lot of the time the focus could still be on the three main couples.

In the process the police department looked like the Keystone Cops much of the time.
