Tonights pro gun control propaganda was pathetic

Especially in a universe with world ending alien threats...you're going to de-arm your federal police force? Brilliant. Because the answer to fighting malevolence is by making yourself a soft target. What is the DEO going to do, use harsh language and collapsible batons? Who wrote this crap? David Hogg?

I felt this was very over the top as well. I'm pretty sceptical of how this is going to play out in future seasons. I kinda hope this leads to the demise of the DEO when their numbers are quickly depleted by a hostile threat because they were unarmed.

I don't understand who they are even speaking to with this message. Pro 2nd amendment people aren't going to change their mind because a Martian told them that guns are a problem. And as to the people who agree with the message politically, I'm sure many of them are confused as to how this would even be practically implemented. Its just dumb writing. And I have a hunch that there will likely be no consequences to his little speech. They are probably going to ignore it from here on out.

The reviews of this episode are so horrible I haven't watched it, but to play devil's advocate - perhaps the writers were compelled by the spate of school shootings to dedicate an episode to the issue?

Could the CW’s series about the bulletproof hero Supergirl really be dense enough to do another episode against guns? Not only is it that dumb, but the show takes the gun control rhetoric to a new super-dumb level in their hunt for a potential mass shooter. The June 4 episode “Not Kansas” has a criminal getting his hands on what is described as a “DEO assault rifle” with capabilities equal to those issued to the secret government organization DEO.

Supergirl is reaching Black Lightning levels of SJW bullshit these days. It’s getting annoying.

That was the dumbest episode they have done so far.
