i thought the kid died.. mom's grieving.. then shows kid brought to neighbors, raised by the *beep* neighbours
lives to future age
WTF?
what am i missing?

That was just a way of showing the "alternate timeline" of events that had previously happened in order for Annie to become who she was in the future, it shows her hiding in the forest and the sound of Emma and Sam being killed, then getting found and brought to live with the neighbors until she grows up.

It seems like it was Emma imagining her life or something, by way of exposition.

What I don't understand is if Annie sent Alex back in time to save her parents, then why, when she was killed, did it not change the timeline??
Alex and his daughter should not be here because she didn't survive to send them back.
The death of Annie should have caused a Paradox. It didn't.

holes in the story for sure, but overall an enjoyable watch.

I have to assume it's branching realities; otherwise the paradox is too blatant. Can't suspend disbelief enough to not wonder how dead kid Annie wound up in the future to send Alex back.

I hate that. Sloppy writing.

I was confused by a whole bunch of things.

1) Did the doctor get away and I just missed it? (Maybe I wasn't paying as close attention as I thought.) Alex and Sam take him at gunpoint, but then we never see him again. Did he leave when Oscar caught them?

2) What the hell happened with the neighbour's wife? Near the beginning, the daughter lets the people into the house, presumably to come after her. Then later, we see the neighbour again when Sam comes to demand his car...and NOBODY MENTIONS what happened to the guy's family. Unless I missed that also? I found the whole thing confusing :(

This was by far the most confusing final episode ever, seems like a completely different person wrote it...
The suspence saga when the balding dad gets back to house, and they all went upstairs to the bedroom?? what the f... so so so bad!

and the whole leaving her dead kid in a paddock... um... ????

ofcourse the whole dead kid live future adult, and reappearing kid when mother leaves... lots of holes.. the swiss cheese of final episodes!
