Save your money - seriously.

Ok, I'm not going to go into the minutiae of why this was such a train wreck but I'll just highlight some of the major issues that really killed this movie for me.

The Bad -

1. Script was probably 30 mins longer than it needed to be, laboring pointless issues that gave nothing to the film.

2. Actors, some of them (not all) looked like this was their first time in front of the camera. They were so wooden it was painful to watch.

3. If you can't do CGI well or don't have the budget for it, leave it alone. This looked like it was done on a Commodore 64. Learn from other films (Blair Witch, Cloverfield, Cloverfield Lane etc. etc.) We don't need to see a monster, build suspense, tease but don't make it look like a throw back from Jason and the Argonauts.

4. Overall look and feel of this was that it was made by a bunch of Uni students on their summer break.

The Good

1. The Dog. Now there's a dog that can act. I just hope being cast in this film doesn't kill his career.

2. This idea, the whole premise of the myth could have been done really well. It did have plenty of potential, but sadly ....

Anyway, I know there're are folks out there that might enjoy this and that's fine but honestly the 5 of us certainly didn't.

I guess its like wine, just because you don't like it doesn't mean its bad. Some people will drink anything 

some questions to better know if your opinion actually counts:

How did you see it if you are in Luxenberg?

What's the soundtrack like? Songs they use?

What happens to the lead character? The older brother?

put spoiler tags if you need to.

reply

Yep. Didn't even see it.

The creature is teased all through out the film till the end.

It's not the best Aussie film ever made, but its very well done.

Sorry not in Luxembourg anymore, actually in Brisbane - saw it at Cineplex Victoria Point and had to pay for the privilege. (have updated my profile).

I'm sorry to disagree, I think there is potential for the story line and it could have been executed well but the creature was weak at best, should have left more of it to the imagination.

the chap fighting the creature with a didgeridoo etc. was laughable

Anyway, just my (and 4 others) opinion. If you liked it then all good, but not our bag.

And you are obviously part of the production of this movie, to know
the ins and outs of where it would have been seen. You care WAY too
much to accuse someone of lying, and your account is only
as old as the film release. You guys need to start paying people
that have old user accounts to "rent" them out so you can do your
"reviews". Maybe that would be a good business to start, open a
casting call somewhere for people who have old IMDB accounts who
are will to post a shill review for money.

Oh, BTW, your movie is on USEnet, so anybody anywhere can DL it for
free. So trying to say someone couldn't have seen it would be
pointless now.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts.

1. Too long for no reason, padded out with unnecessary fillers.

2. Poor CGI - actually found myself laughing at it towards the end, so maybe that should be a plus?

3. TV-movie acting.

4. Repetitive music.

5. An okay story.

Perhaps it just took itself too seriously, that voice over at the end really didn't help. I didn't think it was a train wreck though, certainly not worthy of a 2/10 to me but each to their own with their scoring, I can't say I had a great deal of fun with it either :)

I liked the movie. It was a fun movie sort of like Sharknado type of movie. Is not a Oscar winning movie is just a fun movie to watch with your friends to not be taken to seriously.
